10:00am-11:00am: Family Yoga

Katie Venechuk, In Your Element | Music by Dixon’s Violin
Here’s a great way to kick the festival off with the family! All ages, no experience needed. Get in the flow with Katie Venechuk of In Your Element. To make the morning that much sweeter, we’ll be graced by the sounds of Dixon’s Violin.


12:00pm-1:00pm: Discover Your Power!

Jill Haver-Crissman
An introduction to civic engagement in Michigan for the youth and younger voting audience. Learn to use your voice, use your vote, and make a difference right here in Michigan. This is an invaluable workshop that will bring positive change to your life and to our home state.


1:30pm-2:30pm: Sing Along + Open Mic

Hosted by Beaver Xing
Whether you have a song you want to share, you're a musician working on your performance, or you just want to come and be part of the music, this open mic and sing along will be perfect for you! Stacy and John from Beaver Xing will be leading the way and everyone is encouraged to come and be part of the music.


3:00pm-4:00pm: Native Plants and Your Local Ecosystem

How can we re-introduce native plant species and wildlife into our local ecosystems? How can we balance invasive species through the addition of the native species in your yard, land, and surroundings to improve the vitality, beauty, and function of the land? Step One – attend this workshop!


4:30pm- 5:30pm: Mindful Moments in Music

John Nowak, Desmond Jones
An all-inclusive workshop for anyone interested in sharing in the power and connection of spontaneous and improvised musical conversation. This is the essence of communication in music and Desmond Jones’ John Nowak will facilitate a workshop for musicians and musical lovers of all kinds, ages, levels of experience, and interests. Bring an instrument or an open mind and you’re sure to enjoy these moments.


6:00pm-7:00pm: Beer Tasting with ONE WELL Brewing Co.

Music by Round Creek String Band
The Brewers of ONE WELL have something spectacular to share with you! Come learn what makes craft beer so exciting, at workshops focusing on a kaleidoscope of brewing ingredients and flavor profiles. Explore the 4 building blocks of beer: HOPS, MALT, WATER, and YEAST. To add to the flavor, Round Creek String Band will be throwing down old-time fiddle tunes and American roots music for your pleasure! Must be 21+ to participate.

9:30am-10:00am: Family Yoga

Wild Zen Yoga

What better way to kick off the day than this?! Family Yoga presented by Wild Zen Yoga owner, Carrie LaBarge. No previous experience needed. This session is open to all ages and will offer something for all experience levels.


10:00am-11:00am: Acoustic Yoga

Wild Zen Yoga (music by Mark Lavengood)
Enjoy the movement and the soundscapes by Carrie LaBarge and Mark Lavengood. Carrie is a 500 Hour RYT Yoga Teacher.  She was certified through Live Love Teach and Mindful School of Yoga™. Carrie facilitates yoga teacher trainings and workshops with Mindful School of Yoga, as well as, public and private yoga classes. Her goal in teaching and training is to guide others into an empowered and truly self-determined way of thinking, moving, and living. You can also find Carrie and her partner Mark Lavengood co-creating acoustic music led classes at a variety of locations.


11:30am-12:30pm: Action is the Anecdote to Despair!

This civic engagement workshop will offer dialogue, insights, and resources for making a sustained impact in your local community. Your vote counts. Your voice counts. Let’s use them wisely to create change, equality, and inspiration.


1:00pm-2:00pm: Drums for All!

Josh Dunigan
Come sing! Come dance! Come play! I'll bring the drums, you bring your hands and smiles as we enjoy rhythms from the Caribbean and South America. We will be sharing in the rhythms that have brought us together for centuries and everyone is welcome! Percussion provided. No previous experience needed. Open for all ages.


2:30pm-3:30pm: Drum Circle and Parade

Beaver Xing and friends
This is for EVERYONE! We’ll have the drums and percussion ready for you. All ages welcome. No experience needed. We’ll start with a drum circle and then in alignment with many drumming traditions, we’ll do a quick parade through the camp!


4:00pm-5:00pm: Interactive Art for Everyone

Joe Sherry
West Michigan artist, Joe Sherry, has extensive experience in facilitating and encouraging artistic expression for all ages and levels of interest. This workshop is for kids and adults alike. Family friendly. We provide the paints and materials. Express yourself and be part of the creative energy at Cowpie!


5:30pm-6:30pm: Beer Tasting with ONE WELL Brewing Co.

Bluegrass Jam (Jason Wheeler + friends)
The Brewers of ONE WELL have something spectacular to share with you! Come learn what makes craft beer so exciting, at workshops focusing on a kaleidoscope of brewing ingredients and flavor profiles. Explore the 4 building blocks of beer: HOPS, MALT, WATER, and YEAST. Great Lakes Music’s Jason Wheeler will be joined by various guests to provide a good ol’ fashioned bluegrass jam to accompany the fine brews! Must be 21+ to participate.
